Superior Acess is slow. You enter the information in for the quote and within a few minutes you either get the company’s offers or quesitons back from them pertaining to the risk. Once you answer their questions you wait for the quote to come back – which is looked at individually and takes time. Then you present your best quote to the client and once they make a choice you have the company run the MVR’s/Clue’s. That then takes a good amount of time.
The whole process takes anywhere from 2-4 weeks. It’s a good alternative if you don’t need it for the long-haul but I don’t think it’s any way to do business forever.
Don’t forget to get brushed up on all the little caveats that make each carrier different. Which company favors youthful drivers, which company goes back 3 or 5 years on accidents, which companies won’t accept more than 1 loss on a home within 5 years, which companies do high-value homes, which companies will and won’t do monoline….etc.
Good luck…
2 – 4 weeks to place an auto policy? Really? How does anyone operate that way?

You are either an employee of Noodle or clueless, possibly both! With Superior, you enter the data in EZLynx, and get price indications
back instantly! If the price indication is competitive you submit for firm quote. The entire process can be completed within 24 hours, 36 tops. If
you have access to MVR/CLUE or if you correctly quote an HO-3 you can submit to bind same day!
Not sure how inept you are with a keyboard that the process takes you 2-4 weeks to complete. There are definitely cons to working with an
MGA, but call a preferred carrier and find out just how easy it isn’t to get directly appointed.
Quoting on Superior Access is pretty decent for personal lines. Like TXAgnt said, they use ezlynx, and it gives you virtually instant comparative rates between the carriers.
Getting the quote actually bound on the other hand, seems a bit slow with Superior, I’ve never gotten a 24 hour turnaround (possibly could if I pushed harder). I think they get backed up sometimes and it takes a while. A week is the outside from my experience.
Don’t get me started with Noodle though, they don’t offer personal lines quotes without submitting to them, meaning no real time quotes. Unfortunately, I can’t work that way at all. Supposedly, they are bringing this out soon (maybe this year even?)
Both of these are designed to fill in for gaps in your carriers. It is hard to use them as the primary place for your coverage. You’ll get burned many, many times.

No way. I used Superior Access when I got started. The most it took was 48 hours.
Something is wrong
Superior fluctuates. If you stay on top of them, you can probably get 48 hour bind time. I never placed risks with them that I needed something right away though.
I know they even implemented an option for same day binding if needed. Never tried that.

Like all of us, Superior makes $$ from binds! If you have submitted all the bind docs, call their Agency Services unit (ext 760) and let them know you need a rush!
I have gotten policies bound very quickly this way! It doesn’t cost anything extra. It’s like being friends with the maitre d at a nice restaurant.
